Manajemen Asuhan Keperawatan Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Type 2 Dengan Penerapan Latihan Senam Kaki Di Wilayah Kerja BLUD UPTD Puskesmas Kandai
Abstract
Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is one of the non-communicable diseases that causes a high rate of pain and death, so it requires appropriate and serious treatment efforts. It is characterized by an increase in blood glucose levels due to impaired insulin secretion and work. Complications of DM, diabetic neuropathy, a condition in which damage occurs to nerve tissues, especially in extremities such as legs and hands. One of the nursing interventions that can be given to prevent such complications is foot exercises . Foot exercises function to improve blood circulation, strengthen muscles, and maintain joint mobility so that it can reduce the risk of nerve damage. This study aims to apply nursing care management in type 2 Diabetes Mellitus patients with foot exercise intervention in the work area of BLUD UPTD Kandai Health Center. The research method used is a case study with a nursing process approach that includes nursing assessment, nursing diagnosis, nursing intervention, nursing implementation, and nursing evaluation. The results of the application showed a decrease in tingling complaints, and cramps in the legs were reduced, lowered blood sugar levels and increased the knowledge and skills of patients in performing ankle exercises independently. Thus, foot exercises can be used as one of the effective nursing interventions in preventing complications of nerve damage.
