Hubungan Pengetahuan Ibu Tentang Kejadian Ikutan Pasca Imunisasi Dengan Cakupan Imunisasi Pneumococca Conjugate Vaccine
Abstract

Pneumonia control strategies that are being attempted in Indonesia are to increase the detection of pneumonia in toddlers and to establish Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV) immunization. In emergency situations of post-immunization adverse events (AEFI), knowledge about actions that must be taken appropriately and safely is very important, especialy the mother's knowledge. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the knowledge of infant mothers about AEFI and the coverage of PCV immunization. The design of this study was descriptive correlation with a cross-section approach. The independent variable is the relationship between the knowledge of infant mothers and the dependent variable is Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine (PCV). The sample of this study was 46 respondents using the purposive sampling technique. The research instrument was a questionnaire on maternal knowledge about AEFI with the Chi Square test method. The results of the study obtained a p value of 0.004 (p <0.005). The conclusion is that there is knowledge of infant mothers about post-immunization adverse events (AEFI) with the coverage of PCV immunization. Suggestions for health workers to be able to further improve information about the importance of PCV immunization to the community and how to overcome AEFI.
